Board of Directors
The Board of the Exchange consists of technocrats with experience in diverse fields of endeavour, which could be put to bear on the efficient operation of the Exchange. The membership of the Board comprised of:
Mr. Tunde Lemo, B.Sc, ACA, FCA, who is the Deputy Governor, Financial Sector Surveillance of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is the Chairman of the ASCE
Board of Directors.
He attended the University of Nigeria Nsukka, where he graduated with First Class Honours in Accounting in 1984. He became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, in 1997. Mr. Lemo was appointed Managing Director
Wema Bank Plc in 2000 and assumed his present post in the Central Bank of
Nigeria and as Chairman ASCE Board of Directors on 2nd January 2004.
Chief Dennis Onyemachi Odife, B.Sc, MBA, is the former Executive Vice Chairman
of Centre-Point Bank Plc. He was educated in Nigeria and the United States of America where he earned an MBA (Finance and Management Science) from the Graduate School of Columbia University, New York City.
A banker, stockbroker and economics scholar with five published books to his
credit, Chief Odife has worked in various companies in Nigeria, the UK and USA, including Baring Brothers & Co. of U.K. and Morgan Stanley & Co. in the U.S.A,
before co-founding Centre-Point Investments Limited in 1979, the predecessor
of Centre-Point Bank Plc.
Chief Odife is Member of the Governing Council of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University
of Science and Technology, Lagos Business School and Madonna University,
Awka.
His professional memberships include Council Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange 1976-1979) Chairman, Federal Government Committee on the Monetisation of Fringe benefits and Chairman of the Panel on the Review of the Nigerian Capital Market as well as Member of the Vision 2010 Committee, among numerous other appointments by the federal government.
Mr. Sadiq Labbo Sharubutu, B.Sc, MBA, is an Executive Director in NICON Insurance Plc. He studied at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1979. He also holds an MBA from Bayero University, Kano.
He has undergone banking related training both locally and abroad. He was variously Executive Director and Acting Managing Director at the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, before joining NICON Insurance Corporation, in 1999.
Mallam U.M. Masanawa, B.Sc, MBA, is an Executive Director (Operations) at the Bank of Industry.
He attended the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) and graduated with an honours degree in Economics. He holds an MBA from the same University.
He has vast experience in the Financial and Banking sector and sits on the Board of various reputable organizations.
He has worked in Kaduna State Ministry of Finance, International Merchant Bank, Prime Merchant Bank and International Trust Bank, where he rose to the position of Acting MD/CEO.
