The requirements for each of the three categories of membership are as listed below:
(1). Ordinary Member
(a) Individual:
(i) He must be at least 18 years of age
(ii) He must be a responsible citizen evidenced by police clearance
(iii) Three-year tax clearance certified by relevant tax authority
(iv) A copy of curriculum vitae
(v) Relevant Experience in commodity trade
(b) Corporate:
(i) Copy of certificate of incorporation
(ii) Three-year audited financial statements or statement of affairs if the company is not yet operational
(iii) A copy of the Companys MEMART
(iv) Profile of the Board and Management
(v) Relevant experience in commodity trade
(2) Ordinary Trading Member
(i) Evidence of registration with SEC
(ii) Annual Accounts and Reports for three (3) years
(iii) Evidence of meeting the minimum share capital requirements prescribed for this category of membership by SEC (tentatively the minimum share capital for Stock Dealers will suffice)
(iv) A copy of the companys MEMART
(v) Resolution of the Companys Board to register with ASCE
(vi) Profile of Board and Management
(vii) Profile of Dealing Clerks
(3) Institutional Trading Member
Same as in (2) above.
Stock and Commodity Brokers/Dealers are eligible to apply for Trading Membership if they meet the above requirements while Financial Institutions and high net worth commodity dealers can apply for Institutional Trading Membership of the Exchange.
