EXPERT CALL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF MODEL FOR COCOA PRODUCTION |

Call has been made for the development of the cocoa industry so as to enhance the transformation of the cocoa producing areas of Nigeria. An expert in cocoa, Jim Gockowski has said that there was need to embrace modern approach in issues of rural transformation and increased mechanization in order to improve the cocoa sub-sector of the economy.
Gockowski has advocated a shift from traditional technology to science-based technologies, from subsistence to specialization in cocoa production.
