Nigeria Gets Oil Palm Boost |

The Chairman, Board of Director, Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc, Mr. Gbenga Oyebode said that palm oil and rubber production would be increased by his company in order to meet increased local and foreign demands of palm produce.

Oyebode noted that activities of criminal elements, bad business and unfavorable climatic conditions contributed to its 2007 low turn over. He presented an annual profit of N140 million for 2007 as against N396 million in 2006 indicating 65% decline to the shareholders during the annual general meeting of the company held recently.
